Gabriella Montaguti

Gabriella Montaguti was born in Milan, where she still lives and works. She took her degree in Architecture at Milan’s Polytechnic and trained at architect Mazzucconi’s practice, focussing on architecture and design with the International tender for the Halles area in Paris and the design for the Paris head offices of the prestigious advertising agency J.W. Thompson in Avenue Matignon. During the Eighties she started working as a professional, focussing on design in the sector of home furnishings and lighting; she subsequently founded the advertising agency Reclame, thus extending her field of activity to advertising and corporate identity. For Rexite Montaguti designed APPRENDISTA, an adjustable-height table which was selected at the Design Forum of Milan in 1987 and at the 12th Biennial of Industrial Design of Ljubljana in 1988, and also GAS, the table with a gas-lifting device, and the tables PIANO and ALTOPIANO.
